Wildflower Wall Update

Hi everyone,
MNINC web designers are busy preparing our 'wildflower wall' for the website and hope it will be available for your contributions from July… so I was just wondering how your wildflowers are doing?

I`ve been busy in the garden (despite the rain) and have noticed the seeds I scattered last month, are already showing promise and producing some young wildflowers! With a bit of luck (and fine weather too) I hope they`ll be flowering by July :)

For now, I am sitting outside (it`s stopped raining!) having a cup of tea, enjoying nature`s way of holding me in suspense, waiting for the show of colour these flowers promise and I can`t wait to see our finished 'wildflower wall' once you`ve all sent us your contributions!

On a rather random note, I found this quote by R.H. Heinlein that I would like to share; "Butterflies are self propelled flowers." Is it any wonder that I find myself mesmerised by their qualities!

So to finish this light hearted blog, I would like to add, and no, this is not a gardening site (just in case you`re totally confused) wildflowers are wonderful for attracting butterflies, including daisies, teasels, thistles, forget-me-not, nettles and different grasses! In order to protect habitat, I am now certain it gets me out of mowing the lawn and pulling those weeds (a perfect excuse, or even better, time for another cup of tea… and perhaps some cake…mmmmm?!)
