" So yesterday I received a Facebook message from Fiona (C.E.O. of MNINC) You know her, the pushy bird from Wales! It says “Hi Phil are you at home? I have a proposition!” To whit I think "Wayhey! Don’t get many of them..."
Anyhow, she phones me later and what she wants, is to ask me is if I would Guest Blog on the MNINC website for her, under my own name so no risk of anonymity there, and how could I ever say no to the wonderful Fiona, but I did manage to get a word in edgeways - and say yes.
Her idea was for me to produce something from my unique and somewhat eccentric observations on life. Thinking outside the box, blue sky brainstorming and other such corporate codswallop was mentioned. Essentially it should be a short distraction from the realities of living with cancer and as per usual, I haven’t a clue what she’s going on about and in particular this “Blog” word? It sounds like bog with a mouthful of tea! Try it!
So here I am frantically scribbling something for Monday without it containing any swear words.
However, to start with, there is something I can tell you about - and that is, the need to take a break, relax, and do something you want to do! You may be inclined to accuse yourselves of some measure of flippancy due to the difficult times you are experiencing, but under no circumstances let it stop you! "
