Calm your mind...

Cancer causes lots of stress and the beginnings of each week can be especially difficult as people prepare for hospital appointments, tests, results, treatment!
Considering a way MNINC could help, I started thinking about dandelions - you know the ones: white, fluffy, covered in seeds... and I wondered how many of you have ever blown on a dandelion flower to find out the time (as time had no meaning and, in childhood life was that simple...)

And then it occured to me - if everyone coping with cancer imagined holding a white fluffy dandelion and each of the seeds represented the stresses caused by cancer, and if you were able to keep this thought, keep imagining, and then take some breaths in and out, several times, and relax... then begin "blowing" the seeds away in your mind, and as you do, you could imagine each stressful thought being carried away with each breath - wouldn`t that be cool!!
So there you have it, my challenge is to have a go and if the dandelion 'clock' makes life feel just a little simpler than it did, if it overcomes some of the stress you are experiencing (or helps you feel more in control) join the MNINC Admin team on facebook and let us know how many "dandelion hours" it took, to calm your mind?
Thinking of you,
Fiona x
